Academic excellence has always been an expressed ideal and goal of Lambda Chi Alpha and our chapter does much to encourage the achievement of this goal in our members. The nature of our Fraternity makes it inherently one of the most effective means of assisting brothers in their academic experience here at BU. We have brothers in almost every college or school on campus and supportive community always there to help brothers in need. We have a Scholastic Chair, our Sigma, who reminds brothers of important dates, sets them up with tutors when needed, and schedules study hours. Most importantly, Lambda Chi Alpha teaches you how to manage your time and balance your academic and fraternity calendars. Academics always come first, but with good organization and time management—our brothers can effectively have the best of both worlds.

Lambda Chi Alpha’s Academic Policy:
To develop the higher qualities of the mind, to nurture respect for learning, and to encourage and reward singular achievement in the field of scholarship, working at all times in harmony with the best in the North American educational system.
We have consistantly had the highest GPA of the fraternities at BU and continued that tradition this year and won Excellence in Academics at the 2009-2010 awards.

Our Scholastic Chair also works to prepare our brothers for the world after graduation. In the past, we have had presentations at the Office of Career Services, lectures with consulting firms, and attend all job fairs. Lambda Chi Alpha has a great network of brothers in every field willing and ready to help another brother in his early career. It is no wonder why Forbes rated Lambda Chi Alpha in the top five fraternities for future CEOs.

Joseph Charles Mentor Leadership Program:
Designed to create and provide a link for undergraduate brothers to their future though the advice of alumni brothers in their chosen professions. It is mentorship program comprised of a network of alumni brothers who provide undergraduate brothers with guidance, help, and knowledge.
